My baby Beast is almost two now. Can you believe it? In two months, I won't have two under two anymore. But it all works out - two months after that, I'll have three under three. (And two under two, technically.) Here are some cute things my Beastie says lately:

"Daddy bixa bike!!" (Daddy fix his bike - by bike, she actually means lawnmower.)

"Beak! Beak goggy! Nonny goggy." (Speak! Speak doggy! Naughty doggy.)

"BE-CAUSE!!" (whenever you ask her why. Why did you draw on the floor? BE-CAUSE!!)

"Gabba shoes! Gabba shoes! Gabba shoes!" (Her Yo Gabba Gabba! tennis shoes. They are very obviously boys' shoes, but who cares. She loves them.)

"Dis." (This - the standard answer when you ask what she's doing.)

"Yah" or "Yesh" (both mean yes)

Here are three things I never ever envisioned myself needing to say, ever. Of course, that was before children. (All three were said to Beastie in the last 24 hours.)

1. "We don't draw on toast, please." (Followed by "Because the butter and cinnamon wrecks our markers.")

2. "If you're going to dance on the chair, could you at least put some clothes on?"

3. "Rice krispies don't go in our noses; let's keep them in the bowl, please."

And lastly, a cute story:

Beastie was running around without a diaper. "Hey," I said, "let's put a diaper on you." She ran away and yelled "NO!!"
"Really, I mean it," I said. "I'll just put this diaper on really quick."
And she spun around, pointed at me and said firmly, "Don't even THINK about it!"

I almost died laughing.

Loved her response to getting her diaper put on. BTW-been following you for a while now, not sure that I've ever commented before.

LOL, it's hilarious how much they pick up (and how much gets misinterpreted/wrong in the process!)

LOL! That is too funny "Don't even THINK about it." So cute! I can picture Beastie saying that.....they are just growing up so fast aren't they!?

I purely love this age when they start really talking. Funny kiddo you've got there.
