Easter doesn't mean anything to me, but I know it does to a lot of you, so Happy Easter. The girls woke up at the crack of dawn and found their baskets (which were actually big sand buckets, because why spend $8 on a basket that will get ruined when you can spend $3 on a bucket they'll use outside all summer?) and they got their stuffed bunnies and eggs, candy (but not a lot,) some golden coins, and some of those little capsules that you put in water and they become sponges shaped like animals. The Babe got a bunny and eggs and some water squirters for the bath.
And now, I get to plan for the greatest part of the Easter holiday - DINNER. I am going to eat gallons and gallons of mashed potatoes and gravy and at least four pieces of Gran's coconut cream pie. Her cocount cream pie is unbelievable - a delicious homemade vanilla custard with just a hint of coconut extract.... my mouth is watering. I will be ten pounds heavier by the end of the day.
Have a happy holiday, everyone!
You're just emotional!

The Bear has had the same dollar store Easter Basket since he was born. I bought a dollar store basket for E baby and I plan to test it against his brother's ... for science.
I am so freakin' jealous of the cocunut cream pie eating! Mmmmmm pie.
